Adobe Dreamweaver: Setting up a website connection

Overview
You will need to setup two things in Dreamweaver
- Where to store your local copy of the website while you are making amends. This will be somewhere on your harddrive or on your network.
- How to connect to the live webserver so that you can put your changes up on the live website.
Manage Sites
Choose Site > Manage Sites...

New Website
Choose New > Site

Enter Local Information
Setup up the local information as below:

- Enter Site Name
- Choose a folder on your computer to store your local copy of the website
- Select links relative to the Site Root
- Enter the website URL (HTTP address)
Website Remote Information

- Select FTP Access
- Enter FTP host
- Enter Host directory
- Enter Login and Password
- Select passive FTP
- Select Maintain synchronization information
- Select Enable file check in and check out
- Enter your name
- Enter your email address
