The majority of companies now have a web site, whether to promote their business, provide product information, support online purchase of goods or services, or provide post-sales support to their customers. The reports generated are typically of more use to site maintainers than business or marketing users, and only allow limited customisation. It is often impossible to integrate this data with other sources.
• Integrated Data Warehouse type products, offering customised and flexible reporting of value to business users. Usually built on a standard database, overall costs can be high, particularly when integrating with data from other sources. Implementation and consultancy costs can easily push total costs to six figure sums.
